Mrs. Lauer’s 6th grade social studies classes were challenged to design and build Ziggurat Marble Runs as a final project for their unit on Ancient Mesopotamia. Ziggurats, or temples, were the most prominent buildings in the Sumerian cities. Students enjoyed working together to accomplish their task of building the longest working marble run to win the challenge.
