Gypsy Moth Suppression

Please be advised that the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Forestry, will conduct gypsy moth suppression activities in select forested sections of Snyder County this spring.  The insecticide being used on some non-residential properties is Mimic (tebufenozide) which has no known human health effects.  The insecticide will be applied by aircraft, either helicopter or fixed-wing, flying approximately 50 feet above the treetops.  Do not look up if you see a spray cloud decending. More information can be found on the 2018 Gypsy Moth Spray Status Interactive Map at  plane (http://www.gis.dcnr.state.pa.us/maps/index.html?gypsymoth=true).
