This page contains scholarship information and applications recently received by the guidance department. You may print out and complete the application or students can stop by the guidance office and pick up a copy. Scholarships for the 2024-2025 School Year For Seniors

  • The Selinsgrove Area High School/Selinsgrove Community’s GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION is now available. Completion of this form qualifies applicants for MANY local scholarship opportunities. Students may pick up a copy of the General Application in the Guidance Office or complete this form and turn it in to the Guidance Office (typed responses are appreciated!). Deadline to apply is Friday, April 11, 2025. 
  • The Selinsgrove Area Education Association Scholarship application is now available. This application applies to four, $750 scholarships to be awarded and one $750 William Wells’ scholarship for a senior planning to major in education. Additional information and application can be found here.. Deadline to apply is Friday, April 11, 2025. 
  • The Selinsgrove Projects, Inc. 2025 Scholarship Application is now available. This scholarship opportunity is for students who intend to attend a postsecondary school upon graduation and has proven to be an excellent volunteer for our town. Application is available here. Deadline to apply is close of school day on April 30, 2025. 
  • The Public School Boards Association is offering a scholarship opportunity. Additional information and application can be found here. Deadline to apply is Friday, March 14, 2025. 
  • The Sharon Cashman Scholarship application is now available for students entering the field of education. Additional information and application can be found here. Deadline to apply is Friday, April 11, 2025. 
  • The Mason Square and Compass Scholarship application is now available.  As noted, “The Lafayette Lodge #194 Free and Accepted Masons will award two $500 scholarships to two students furthering their education at an accredited college, university or trade school of their choice.”  Additional information is available here. Deadline to apply is Friday, April 11, 2025. 
  • The Mary Ann (Bolig) Memorial Nursing Scholarship is now available for students entering a Registered Nursing Program. Additional information and application can be found here .Deadline to apply is Friday, April 11, 2025. 
  • The Edna May Aucker Scholarship Trust opportunity is available to a Snyder County student “…who has regularly participated in church, scouting, or 4-H activities…who is morally, mentally, and physically competent and worthy…”.   • The WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital’s John Family Health Careers Scholarship opportunity is now available. Information regarding the application materials and process can be found at: https://www.evanhospital.com/careers/scholarships. Deadline to apply is April 1, 2025.
  • The George W. and Anne A. Hoover Trust scholarship is now available. Information is available here. Deadline to apply: March 31, 2025. 
  • The Susquehanna Valley School Counselors’ Association scholarship opportunity is now available. Apply at: SVSCA Scholarship Form. Applications due: May 23, 2025. 
  • Community Giving Foundation Scholarships: Scholarships will open on March 3, 2025 and will be due April 1, 2025. Additional information found here. Access information at: http://csgiving.org/scholarships/.

  • The ABC Keystone’s Merit Shop Training & Research Center Scholarship opportunity is now available. Every year, the Center awards multiple scholarships to individuals seeking to further their education in careers in construction. The 2025-2026 scholarship application window is open. Application forms and instructions can be found at the following website. Applications are due March 7, 2025.
  • The First Community Foundation Partnership of PA is the host of MANY scholarships available to SNYDER COUNTY students. Information regarding current opportunities can be viewed here. Scholarship amounts will be announced to the recipients when they receive an award letter in June. All applications are due April 1st, with letters of recommendation due April 15.
  • The Society for Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Education Foundation is accepting applications for college scholarships for high school seniors who will be enrolled in an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program majoring in manufacturing technology, electromechanical technology, engineering, manufacturing processes, computer/IT, robotics/automation or other manufacturing-related disciplines.   • The Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA will award a minimum of 10 scholarships, totaling $11,500 to graduating high school seniors who have epilepsy/seizure disorder and are going on to post-secondary school. Application must be received by April 7, 2025. For more information Click here

  • Every year, the WTS Central Pennsylvania Chapter awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to encourage and support the exceptional women who are pursuing careers in a STEM or transportation-related field.  The scholarships are competitive and based on the applicants’ specific goals, academic achievements, and transportation-related activities. All scholarships are open to any person who identifies as female.  Interested female students can apply for our WTS Central PA Chapter – Colleen Brown High School Senior Scholarship or any of the national scholarships listed below.  Since 2012, WTS Central PA has awarded 50 scholarships totaling over $100,000.  In addition, one applicant for each award offered may be recommended for the national scholarship competition.   • Greetings from PHEAA’s Pennsylvania School Services!Searching for Scholarships: PHEAA is hosting a state-wide webinar on September 10th from 6:00-7:00PM to help students search and apply for scholarships. The cost of a postsecondary education can add up quickly for students and families. Thankfully, there is funding to help cover those expenses. Register here!The U.S. Department of Education (Department) announced that the 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA® form) will be launched through a new process. Starting on October 1, the Department will release the 2025-26 FAFSA form for testing with a limited set of students and institutions. The Department will make the application available to all students on or before December 1.

Scholarships for the 2024-2025 School Year For Juniors

  • We are pleased to announce that The Pennsylvania Society’s Benjamin Franklin Scholar Award for Pennsylvania public school juniors is currently accepting 2025 submissions! The scholarship offers a first-place prize of $6,000, a second-place prize of $4,000, and a third-place prize of $2,000.

  • The Horatio Alger Association seeks to assist junior students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, a good academic record, commitment to pursue a college education, and a desire to contribute to society. Click here for detailed information.
