Student Assistance Team
A Student Assistance Team is a systematic intervention process into the lives of students at risk. An at-risk student is one who has an emotional, social and/or substance abuse problem which conflicts with the normal learning process.
These problems include, but are not limited to the following:
- Behavioral difficulties
- Student neglect (physical, psychological, and sexual abuse)
- Student eating disorders
- Student depression and other mental health disorders
- Student substance abuse
- Suicide risk or suicide attempt
